"Original"-Ivo

The original Ivo is a Windows software application designed to run locally within an office and is the version in use by most organisations currently using Ivo (as at Mar-2022) -
  • Old-Ivo does not use 'at-rest' encryption.
  • Old-Ivo is a local LAN based application and does not itself send or receive any client data outside your organisation's network.
  • Old-Ivo utilises Microsoft Access for its storage, and is password protected, but otherwise relies upon your organisation's general network security.
  • At the occasional times that we transfer a client's whole data file to our systems for debugging purposes, the tool we use to perform the transfer uses AES 256-bit End-to-End Encryption
  • Client data that we have copies of is stored on a single computer in an encrypted virtual drive.
  • Rarely we may need to share a client data file with the developers of web-Ivo for the purposes of debugging. This is done via Google Drive and the files are only stored temporarily.  Our developers are bound by 1024's privacy policy.

"Web"-Ivo

1024 is currently developing a cloud/web based version of Ivo.

Attached to this article is a document that outlines the measures we are using to ensure the security of client data stored in "web"-Ivo.  You may provide this document to your insurers, but we ask that it otherwise not be shared with anyone outside your organisation (that is, while the document does not contain anything specific, as a general rule we don't want to be advertising how we are securing the application!).

The current state of development for web-Ivo is that core functionality of creating clients, activities, and file notes is present and robust.  The current estimate for core reporting functionality to be completed is May-2022.

Availability of Web-Ivo - any organisation can now migrate to web-Ivo at any time.  Our current process is to perform a "test" migration of your organisation's data to provide your staff with the opportunity to meaningfully test web-Ivo to see if the present functionality is sufficient for the needs of your organisation.
